Brazilianite

This stone, discovered in 1944 was thought to be chrysoberyl due to its bright translucent yellow colour, until further analysis proved otherwise, often mistaken for topaz and beryl/chrysoberyl, it is mostly located in Brazil, with a few stones found in New Hampshire USA.

Some gem suppliers do offer it for sale in faceted form.
