Beads & Braids

Bead Designs

One of our earliest school memories is stringing large wooden beads onto multicoloured shoe laces, and at the other end of the scale at home we watched our mother sewing tiny bugle and seed beads onto our childhood fancy dress costumes, and our first bead creations were seed bead earrings on fuse wire way back in 1983.

The current trend for braided bracelets has given us an excuse to reach for our beautiful Marudai, (made for us by the talented Mark Fulton) and get weaving again.

We are enjoying a renaissance with our braiding and knotwork.
